YITSKHOK
OPATOVSKI (b. 1910)
He was born in Radom, Poland. He studied in religious primary school and a
Jewish public school. Over the years
1931-1933, he lived in Belgium, and from 1933 he was in Paris. He was a Communist who from 1965 became a Zionist. Among his books: Lomir lakhn, zamlung fun mayselekh, vitsn un vertlekh (Let’s laugh:
a collection of tales, jokes, and aphorisms) (Tel Aviv: Aguda tarbut laam,
1970), 360 pp.
