BERNARD
ABRAHAMS (December 1, 1880-March 24, 1957)
He was born Avrom-Ber Shmulovits in
Krozh (Kraziai),
Lithuania. He studied in religious
elementary school and in Lithuanian yeshivas.
After spending two years in London, in 1901 he departed for South
Africa, and in 1903 he settled in Johannesburg.
Among his books: Mayne zibetsik
yor, oytobyografye (My seventy years, autobiography) (Johannesburg: Kayor,
1953), 202 pp.
