YANKEV DESOYER (JACOB DESSAUER) (ca. 1764-1837)

            He was the author in Yiddish of various “singing plays” (zingshpiler).  He also authored: Di muzikanten (The musicians), “a singing play in one act” (Amsterdam, 1799), 18 pp.; and A purim produkt nay gemakht (A Purim product newly made), 4 pp. (no year of publication given).
