YEHUDE (YEHUDAH, JUDAH) ALTUSKI (ALTUSKY) (1895-1983)
A rabbi in New York, he was the author of religious works
(sermons in Yiddish): Hegyone yehudi un di yontef bime (The logic of
Judaism and the holiday platform) on each of the books of the Torah: Breyshes
(Genesis) (New York, 1940), 112 pp.; Shmoys (Exodus) (New York, 1940),
pp. 16-112; Vayikro (Leviticus) (New York, 1946), 176 pp.; Bamidbor
(Numbers) (New York), 170 pp. He also
published articles about Jewish religious issues in the weekly Unzer velt
(Our world) (New York).
