YEHOSHUA INFELD (1896-1943)
Born in Lodz to very poor parents. He studied in a religious school and in a
secular middle school. He worked as a
left Labor Zionist lecturer on economic issues, as well as Jewish literature,
in the Lodz “Workers’ Home” (Arbeter-heym).
He worked as a business employee and as a secretary for Jewish trade
unions. From 1926 until 1939, he
published articles and images in Lodzher folks-blat (Lodz people’s
daily). He also published images from
the courtroom in Nayes folks-blat (New people’s daily) in Lodz. He used the pseudonym: Argus. He was in the Lodz ghetto.
