DOVID GAYST (October 71, 1903-September 20, 1965)
He was born in Warsaw, into a
Hassidic family. He studied in religious
primary school, later attending a commercial school. In 1923 he emigrated to Argentina. In 1952 he published “Tipn un pasirungen fun buenos-ayres”
(Characters and adventures from Buenos Aires), a piece of reportage, in Di
yidishe tsaytung (The Jewish newspaper) in Buenos Aires. He also published stories in: Undzer
gedank (Our thoughts) in Buenos Aires and Di yidishe tsaytung. In book form he published Dos lebn aleyn
(Life itself) (Buenos Aires, 1957), 215 pp.
He died in Buenos Aires.
