He was a teacher and the owner of a Jewish girls school in Vilna in the latter half of the nineteenth century. He authored the pamphlet: Russish-yidish-daytshe geshprekhe fir di yudishe yugent (Russian-Yiddish-German conversation for Jewish youth). He would also have been the author of a Yiddish textbook in French and German.
