YISROEL-RUVN BRINMAN
He was born in Poland. One of the younger critics, in the early 1920s
he published work in Vaysenberg’s journal, Undzer hofenung (Our hope),
on P. Markish, L. Kvitko, Ozer Varshavski, Naftali Gros, Avrom Eyzn, and
others. He also published in Oyfkum
(Arise) in Sighetu Marmației and in Di vokh (The
week) in Bucharest. He was murdered by
the Nazis. Among his pseudonyms: Robert
Merison, Merisman, R. M., and R. M-n.
