MOYSHE RIKHTER


MOYSHE RIKHTER (August 11, 1899-August 22, 1944)
            He was a journalist, born in Tshenstokhov (Częstochowa), Poland.  He attended religious elementary school and yeshiva.  Because he was a Communist, he fled in 1929 to Uruguay.  Over the years 1930-1934, he edited the weekly[1] Tsum oktyaber (To October), as well as Unzer kooperative (Our cooperative) and Farn folks gezunt (For the people’s health).  In 1935 he was cofounder and editor of the daily Unzer fraynt (Our friend).  Pen names: M. Terman and A Tshenstokhover.  He died in Montevideo.
