MOYSHE
RIFOEL (March 16, 1905-November 24, 1974)
He was born in Sasov (Sasów),
Galicia. He studied in religious
elementary school and secular subjects privately. He lived for several years in Montevideo. In 1938 he moved to the land of Israel and
settled in Rehovot. He wrote sketches
for Folksblat (People’s newspaper)
and Letste nayes (Latest news) in Tel
Aviv. In book form: Mayn shtetl sasov (My hometown of Sasów) (Jerusalem, 1979), 128
pp. He died in Tel Aviv.
