YITSKHOK RIMON (May 20, 1913-January 24, 1968)
He was Yiddish
and Hebrew journalist, born in Zhabinke (Zhabinka), near Brisk (Brest). He attended religious elementary school and
the Brisk Tarbut high school. From 1935
he was living in the land of Israel. He
published reportage pieces in: Brisker vokhenblat
(Brisk weekly newspaper), Polyeser shtime
(Voice of Polesia), and other serials.
He wrote articles and correspondence pieces from Israel for the Yiddish
press abroad, especially for Di prese
(The press) in Buenos Aires. A committee
published the volume: Yitskhok rimon,
korespondentsn fun yisroel, 1946-1968 (Yitskhok Rimon, correspondence
pieces from Israel, 1946-1`968) (Tel Aviv: Perets Publ., 1974), 333 pp. He died in Tel Aviv.
