M. RAYKHENHOYZ
He was
the author of a booklet entitled Dray
naye berihmte lieder: (1) Min hametsar, (2) Odem
vekhave, (3) Der merder-retseyekh (Three new well-known poems: 1. From
the depths; 2. Adam and Eve; 3. The murderer) (Podgórze: Shoyel-Khananye
Daytsher, 1890), 24 pp.—wedding entertainers’ poems, aside from the last one
which carries a folkish tone. This third
one about a murderer was published in Di
idishe bihne (The Jewish stage) (New York, 1897), p. 114, and as the author
it provided the name of one A. Shenker.
