YOYSEF (JOSEF) KLARMAN (September 9, 1909-November 29,
1985)
He was a
Hebrew and Yiddish journalist, born in Busko-Zdrój, Poland. He received a traditional education. He graduated from a teachers’ seminary in
Warsaw. He was a member of the Revisionist
Party and Betar in Poland. From 1940 he
was living in the land of Israel. He
wrote articles for: Doar hayom (Today’s
mail), Hatsfira (The siren), Hayom (Today), Hamashkif (The observer), and other Hebrew-language publications. He also contributed to Warsaw’s Haynt (Today) and Moment (Moment). In 1932 he
edited the daily Unzer togblat (Our
daily newspaper) in Sosnovits (Sosnowiec) and Zaglembyer tsaytung (Zagłębie newspaper) in Bendin
(Będzin). From 1934 he was editing the Revisionist
organ Unzer velt (Our world) in
Warsaw. He was a correspondent for Tog (Day) in New York and Unzer ekspres (Our express) in
Warsaw. He authored the pamphlet: Der sheker fun h’ ben guryon (The lie of
Mr. Ben Gurion) (Warsaw, 1932/1933), 32 pp.
He died in Tel Aviv.
