DOVID KLEMENTINOVSKI (October 25, 1888-January 23, 1961)
He was
born in Bialystok. He attended religious
elementary school. In 1910 he received
his engineering degree in Berlin. For many
years he was engaged in management work for ORT (Association for the Promotion of Skilled Trades)
in Germany and France. In 1946 he made
his way to the United States. He wrote
articles for: Parizer haynt (Paris
today), Yidishe tsaytung (Jewish
newspaper) in Brussels, and mainly Byalistoker
shtime (Voice of Bialystok), among others.
In book form: Lebn un umkum in
byalistoker geto (Life and death in the Bialystok ghetto) (New York, 1946),
96 pp.; D”r yoysef khazanovitsh, der idealist, natsyonalist un folksmentsh
(Dr. Joseph Khazanovitsh, the idealist, nationalist, and man of the people)
(New York: Bialystok Historical Society, 1956), 140 pp. He died in New York.
