SHOLEM-YOYSEF KRISHTALKE (February 4, 1905-August 16,
1977)
He was
born in Ludmir, Volhynia. He studied in
religious elementary school and in a Tarbut school. In 1933 he emigrated to Canada. He published articles, notes, and
correspondence pieces in: Keneder odler
(Canadian eagle) in Montreal, Vokhnblat
(Weekly newspaper) in Toronto, and Morgn
frayhayt (Morning freedom) and Yidishe
kultur (Jewish culture) in New York.
In Pinkes tishevits (Records
of Tyszowce)
(Tel Aviv, 1970), there are several sketches by him. He died in Montreal.
