SHMUEL
PATSANOVSKI (b.1903)
He was born in Lodz, Poland. He received both a Jewish and a general
education. He was a leader in the
Zionist and pioneer youth movement and a guide to the kibbutzim in Poland and
Volhynia. He published articles on
Zionism and pioneer and youth issues in: Folk
un land (People and land) in Lodz-Warsaw; and Bafrayung (Liberation); among others. In book form: Di kvutse un di kvutse-bavegung, yesoydes un problemen (The
collective agricultural farm and its movement, bases and issues) (Warsaw,
1934), 93 pp. Since the Nazi occupation
of Poland, there has been no further information about him.
