PEKER
In Shmerke Katsherginski’s Lider fun di getos un lagern (Songs from the
ghettos and camps), there is a long poem by Peker entitled “Al khet” (Yom
Kippur confession prayer), submitted by H. Leivick. The poem reflects the condition of the Jews
at that time. Further information about
the author remains unknown.
