PUPS (b. 1892)
He was born in Naveran (Nevarėnai),
Lithuania. He was a journalist. He had been an unskilled laborer in Riga and
Vilna and an active Communist. He was a
deputy to the first Vilna labor council after the October Revolution. In 1920 he edited the weekly newspaper Naye tsayt (New times) in Kovno. From 1923 he was living in Moscow, writing
for Emes (Truth) and Eynikeyt (Unity) (1945-1949). He also wrote under the pen name Meyer Ziv.
