MOYSHE
GLIKLIKH (1880-October 24, 1936)
He was born in Lutsk, Volhynia, into
a well-to-do family. He received both a
Jewish and a general education in a yeshiva and with private tutors. He was one of the more active community leaders
in Volhynia and for a string of years served as a Crown (government-appointed) rabbi
in Lutsk. Later, he served as head of
the Jewish community. He contributed to
the Yiddish press in Volhynia and published articles on Jewish and general
matters in Voliner prese (Volhynia
press) in Rovno and Lutsk (1925-1936), in Voliner
lebn (Life in Volhynia) in Rovno, and Volin
(Volhynia) in Lutsk, among others. He
also wrote for the Polish Jewish newspaper, Nasz Przegląd (Our
review) in Warsaw. He died in
Lutsk.
