YISROEL GOMBARG (b. 1852)
He was an eye doctor and community
leader in Odessa. He authored a popular
medical volume, Dos oyg (The eye), “a useful description of all that belongs
in the ears for a healthy asleep,” freely adapted from a work by Dr. Shmid,
with a forward by the author (dated April 2, 1886) (Odessa, 1886), 51 pp.
