MEYER GOLDRING (1866-August 1942)
He was born in Kremenits,
Volhynia. He received a Jewish and a general
education. For many years he was a
Zionist activist, community leader, and member of the city council and Jewish
community council. He was the founder
and editor of the weekly newspaper Kremenitser shtime (Voice of Kremenits),
1928-1939. He wrote regularly about general
Jewish issues and the needs of the poor Jewish population. During the Nazi occupation, he was in the
Kremenits ghetto. He was killed during
the great massacre of the local Jewish population in August 1942.
