SHMUEL-DOVID BLOVSHTEYN (ca. 1862- October 23, 1932)
He was born in Shargorod (Szarogród), Podolia, where he worked as
a lawyer. When he arrived in the United
States, he wrote for the Forverts (Forward) a series of articles on the
pogroms and the political upheaval in Ukraine.
After spending time in Russia, he published two books in Berdichev: Gayst
un energye (Spirit and energy) and Moral un simpatye (Morale and
sympathy), in which from a respectable position he offered advice to enhance
one’s happiness in life.
