GAVRIEL RUBIN (b. 1870)
He was
born in Dolhinov (Daŭhinava), Vilna district. He studied in yeshiva in Vilna. He was the author of Di sheyne merderin (The lovely murderess), “an interesting novel”
(Vilna, 1889), 198 pp. For his other
writings, he was unable to locate a publisher.
Early in the twentieth century he emigrated to the United States,
publishing from time to time in the local Yiddish newspapers. He later returned to the Russian empire and
lived in Minsk.
