SHAYE KHLODNIK

SHAYE KHLODNIK (1880-1942)
            He was born in Warsaw, Poland.  He cofounded the central council of Agudat Yisrael in Poland and was an active leader in its educational institutions.  He contributed to: Hakol (The voice) in 1907, Dos yudishe vort (The Jewish word), Der yud (The Jew), Dos yudishe togblat (The Jewish daily newspaper), and Ortodoksishe yugend-bleter (Orthodox youth sheets)—in Warsaw; and Beys-yankev zhurnal (Beys-Yankev journal) in Lodz; among others.  He died in the Warsaw Ghetto.
