MENDL LADSKI

MENDL LADSKI (1899-June 5, 1968)
            He was born in Vilkomir (Ukmergė), Lithuania.  He received his master’s degree in economic science from the Universities of Kovno and Berlin.  In the late 1930s he was living in Johannesburg, and later in Australia.  From 1949 he was in Montreal.  He wrote articles in the Yiddish press in Kovno, New York, Buenos Aires, Johannesburg, Melbourne, and Montreal.  In book form: Fun vaymarer demokratye biz hitler-diktator (From Weimar democracy to Hitler’s dictatorship) (Vilkaviskis, 1934), 64 pp.; this book was confiscated by the Lithuanian authorities.  He died in Montreal.
