YOYSEF VAYS (JOSEPH WEISS)

YOYSEF VAYS (JOSEPH WEISS) (1891-1979)
            Born in Warsaw, he moved to the United States in 1914.  He worked in a tailor shop.  He lived in New York and later in Los Angeles.  His books include: Undzer velt, dertseylungen (Our world, stories) (New York: IKUF, 1957), 302 pp.; Zun un volkns, dertseylungen (Sun and clouds, stories) (Los Angeles, 1962), 273 pp.; In loyf fun yorn (Over the course of years), stories (Warsaw: Yidish bukh, 1967), 387 pp.  He died in Los Angeles.
