BINE SHTEYNBERG (BINA STEINBERG)


BINE SHTEYNBERG (BINA STEINBERG) (b. December 20, 1911)
            She was born in Zhelekhov (Żelichów), Poland.  She studied in a Tsisho (Central Jewish School Organization) school in Warsaw.  She made aliya to the land of Israel in 1932.  She wrote on women’s affairs in Letste nayes (Latest news) in Tel Aviv (1964-1967).  In book form: Undzer gezang (Our song), introduction by Dov Sadan (Tel Aviv: Perets Publ., 1984), 255 pp.—songs with notations which were sung in the secular Jewish schools of Tsisho in Poland.
