YEDIDYE-BERL SHTREYMAN (b. Ḥeshvan [= November] 1892)
He was a poet, born in Godev (Godów), near
Radom, Poland. He was a butcher his
whole life. He published two volumes of
poetry: Herbst-layden (Autumns
sorrows) (Warsaw, 1914); and In di flamen
(In the flames) (Radom, 1920). In his
journal Naye vintn (new winds) (Radom)
4 (1926-1927), he published stories about the life of butchers. He brought out and edited Literarishe groupe (Literary group) in
Radom (August 1930-March 1931). He
died in the Radom ghetto.
