He was born in Elizavetgrad, Ukraine. He published a series entitled: A komitet fun myeshtshanski obshtshestvo, a mayse vos in zikh ferlofen in a bekant shtedtil k— vi es gefint zikh in hibsh bisil yuden (A committee of a vulgar society, a story covering a well-known town K— where one finds a considerable number of Jews) (Odessa: L. Nitshe et A. Tsederboym, 1864), 16 pp. It pictured a scene of Jewish community relations, described in a fine Volhynian Yiddish, but without any poetic craft.
