MORTKHE DUNETS

MORTKHE DUNETS (b. October 15, 1922)

            He was born in Zhetel (Pol. Zdzięcioł; Bel. Dzyatlava; Lit. Zietela).  Until WWII, he lived in Vilkomir (Ukmergė).  After liberation he was in the Eschwege Displaced Persons Camp, near Kassel, where he served as editor of the local Yiddish newspaper, Undzer hofenung (Our hope).  He was living in the United States.
