TSVI-HERSHL
ETKES (1887-October 9, 1965)
He was born in Warsaw, Poland. He received an ethnic education. Over the years 1904-1916, he was a member of
the Labor Zionists, later active as a Bundist.
In the early 1930s he immigrated to Paris, and in 1934 he departed for
the land of Israel. In book form: Tsu a nay lebn, dertseylungen, bilder un
pyeses (Toward a new life, stories, images, and plays) (Tel Aviv:
Hamenorah, 1965), 260 pp.
