HALEVI HURVITS
He was the rabbi in Hermannstadt (Hung.
Nagyszeben;
Rom. Sibiu), Hungary [now, Romania]. In
1918 he settled in Budapest, where he was the publisher of Di yudishe vokhnshrift (Jewish weekly writing), organ of the Jewish
settlement in Israel, in Budapest. Five
issues appeared. He was also known as a
poet and a writer.
