He was the author of a
Yiddish-French dictionary, with a French grammar, explained in Yiddish, and
with French sayings translated into Yiddish: (1) “if you help yourself, God
will help you”; (2) “in a land of the blind, even a one-eyed man is Tsar”; (3) “women
who are angels in synagogue are devils in the home”; (4) “with a judgment don’t
hurry, listen, investigate both sides” (Warsaw, 1894), 118 pp. Biographical details remain unknown.
