HILKOVITS
He was the author of popular novels. He lived in New York at the end of the
nineteenth century. Among his works: Di eyngemoyerte froy, a roman (The walled
in woman, a novel), “a truly interesting novel from life” (Chicago: Liskin,
1896/1897), 269 pp.; Shtarker vi ayzn
(Stronger than iron); Ketten un kronen
oder shvartse kunst (Chains and crowns or the black art), a novel by Albert
Emil Brachvogel, adapted by Hilkovits (New York, 1896)., 496 pp.; and
others. Biographical information remains
unknown.
