MORTKHE HERSHBERG (1916-September 10, 1985)
He was a rabbi in Chicago and other
cities in the United States, and from 1963 he was rabbi in Mexico City. He was president of “Merkaz harabonim”
(Center for rabbis) in Latin America. He
was the author of Gaystike shtraln,
eseyen un ophandungen vegn aktuele problemen loyt dem gayst fun di toyre (Spiritual
beams [of light], essays and treatises on realm problems drawn from realm
issues from the Torah), vol. 1 (Mexico City, 1967), 207 pp. He died in New York.
