YITSKHOK HELLER

YITSKHOK HELLER (1864-1913)
            He was born in Poltava, Ukraine, into a rabbinic family.  He was a rabbi in various towns in Volhynia, and from 1907 until the end of his life he lived in Kremenits.  He was the author of the religious texts: Vayetar yitsḥak (And Isaac entreated), Minḥat Yaakov (Jacob’s gift), and Lishkat moriya (The chamber of Moriya), among others.  He wrote a pamphlet in Yiddish about Jewishness and Jewish education, entitled Hayisreeylis (The Israelite woman) (Kremenits, 1910), 24 pp.  He died in Kremenits,
