ZALMEN SOBSHIN

ZALMEN SOBSHIN (b. April 26, 1892)
            He was born in Byeshenkovitsh (Byeshankovichy), Byelorussia.  He studied in religious elementary school.  In 1910 he immigrated to the United States.  He worked in a sweatshop and studied at the same time.  He graduated from medical school in 1917.  From the 1940s he was living in Miami Beach.  In book form: Gezamlte lider (Selected poems) (Miami: Bukh-komitet, 1947), 221 pp.
