SHER-KOSOR (PAULINE COSOW) (ca. 1886-July 9, 1975)
She was born in Vilna into a poor
family. In 1905 she emigrated to the
United States. She lived in Acron, Ohio,
before moving to Miami Beach. She
published poetry in Tog-morgn-zhurnal
(Day-morning journal) in New York. In
book form: Mayn folk un land (My
people and country) (New York: Shulsinger, 1954), 136 pp.; A lebn farn folk (A life for the people) (New York, 1971), 330
pp. She died in Miami Beach.
