SHMUEL HOYKHBOYM

SHMUEL HOYKHBOYM
He lived in Odessa, Ukraine.  He was a private Hebrew tutor and a bookseller.  He was the author of story booklets with a moral, which he published and sold himself, such as: Eyn familyen unterhalt un dray geshikhten (One family’s support and three stories), “three tales from Jewish history” (Odessa, 1969), 66 pp.  The three stories, written in a primitive form, aimed at bringing Jewish women into national thought by summoning in them a longing for the land of Israel.
