SHLOYME
HURVITS (1859-December 20, 1945)
He lived in New York. He was the author of a book of essays,
entitled Mensh iber alts (Man over
all) (New York, 1940), 176 pp., with a foreword by Dr. Y.-A. Merison. The book is a collection of his articles on
philosophical and social issues, which he published in the 1930s in: Fraye arbeter shtime (Free voice of
labor), Idisher kemfer (Jewish fighter),
and Forverts (Forward)—all in New
York. He died in New York.
