ITAMAR-YOSEF BENET (September 25, 1911-1987)
Born in Radom, Poland, he received a traditional
education. From age twelve he was living
in Warsaw, where he was a student in the rabbinical seminary Tachkemoni as well
as a student at Warsaw University. From
1934 he was in Palestine. He published
in: Haynt (Today)
in Warsaw; the Polish-Jewish Nasz Przegląd (Our review)
and Opinia Żydowska (Jewish opinion); Radomer tsaytung (Radom
newspaper); Haboker (This morning); and Yediot aḥaronot (Latest
news).
