BERTA BEINKINSTADT

BERTA BEINKINSTADT (b. March 1903)
She was born in Vilna and moved with her parents to Cape Town, South Africa, where her father was a bookseller and also a publisher.  She wrote poems and published them in the Johannesburg weekly Afrikaner (African) in 1917 and in the 1920 yearbook for South Africa that her father published under the editorship of Morris Hoffman.  She also composed poetry in English.  She lived in Cape Town, and her present family name is Padovitsh.
