KHAYIM BASEYN (H. BASSEN) (April 25, 1886-March 4, 1931)
Born in Vasilkov (Vasylkiv),
Ukraine. In July 1905 he emigrated to
the United States and became a furrier.
He published a drama, Tsurik tsu zikh, drame fun idishn lebn in nyu
york (New York, 1923), 186 pp., which was translated into English as “Back
to God: A Play of Jewish Life in New York.”
