BENYOMEN BALZAK (1849-1930)
He was a rabbi, son of Dovid ha-Levi, born in Russia. At age fifty, he emigrated to the United
States. He was the author of Torat
haadam (The Torah of man) (Warsaw, 1910); and Yudntum kegn kristntum
(Judaism against Christianity) (New York, 1912), 96 pp., a polemic concerning
the essence of Judaism and Jewish ethics.
