BER TSUKERMAN (CUKIERMAN)
He was
from Vilna, Lithuania. He graduated from
the University of Vilna in agricultural engineering. Until 1935 he was a teacher in the Jewish
technical school, later settling in Warsaw.
He was an active leader of ORT (Association for the Promotion of Skilled
Trades) and of the pioneer farm in Grokhov.
He authored pamphlets concerned with farming and agriculture, among
them: Hiner-zukht (Chicken breeding)
(Warsaw, 1937), 31 pp.; and Sistemen fun
meloratsye (Systems of melioration) (Warsaw, 1938), 32 pp. Since the Nazi invasion of Poland, there has
been no further information about him.
