YANKEV FRIDMAN (July 17, 1893-June 11, 1960)
He was
born in Sokhatshov (Sochaczew), near Warsaw, Poland. In 1920 he made aliya to the land of
Israel. Over the years 1928-1937, he was
the Israel correspondent for Sokhtshever
tsaytung (Sochaczew newspaper), and he was also co-editor of the
Yiddish-Hebrew Pinkes Sokhatshov
(Records of Sochaczew) in Tel Aviv (1962).
He died in Givatayim, near Tel Aviv, Israel.
