SHLOYME-YISROEL KAPER (March 21, 1821-July 7, 1879)
He was
born in Shtikhov (?), Bohemia. He was a
Czech and German poet and a collector of Jewish folklore. He was known by the name Zigfrid (Siegfried) Kaper. He published a Purim play in Roman
letters. In the preface to it, he
describes Purim plays in Prague. Yankev
Shatski republished this with a long introduction. He died in Pisa, Italy.
