RIVKE FELDMAN


RIVKE FELDMAN (1883-June 1947)
            She was born in Lekhevits (Lakhve, Lyakhivtsi), Pinsk region, Poland, into the family of a religious judge.  In 1905 she arrived in the United States.  She was the author of A mames bukh bay rivke feldman, gute un kluge verter, geshriben in idish tsu ire kinder un tsu fraynd (A mother’s book by Rivke Feldman, good and wise words, written in Yiddish to her children and to friends) (Woodbine, 1950), 138 pp.  She died in Far Rockaway, New York.
