MENDL
MARK (1914-October 28, 1942)
He was born in Cracow, western
Galicia. He received a strongly
religious education. He was active in
the Orthodox movement in Cracow. He
contributed to the weekly newspaper Idishe
shtime (Jewish voice) in Cracow (1931-1939). He also placed work in Dos likht (The light) in Cracow and in Dos yidishe likht (The Jewish light) in Kolomaye, among other
serials. He was murdered by the Nazis on
bloody October 28 in the Cracow ghetto.
