BOREKH GOLOY (1873-1943)
He was born in Baranovitsh, Vilna
region, Poland, into a prominent family.
He was known as a follower of the Jewish Enlightenment movement as well
as a scholar. He published articles,
feature pieces, and memoirs (which were a contribution to the history of Jews
in Baranovitsh) in: Baranovitsher kuryer (Baranovitsh courier) and Baranovitsher
veg-vayzer (Baranovitsh guide). He
was killed by the Germans during WWII.
